IndyCare317 Technologies LLC (“IndyCare,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the IndyCare mobile application (“App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use the App.

By using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

a. Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Full name, email address, phone number, and password when you register.
  • Profile Information: Profile photo, bio/description, address, location, and caregiver-specific details such as certifications, experience, availability, and hourly rates.
  • Background Check Data (Caregivers Only): Social Security Number (SSN), date of birth, and other information required for identity verification and background checks processed through Checkr, Inc.
  • Payment Information: Bank account or payment details required for processing payments through Stripe.
  • Communications: Messages sent through our in-app chat feature, as well as any emails or support requests you send to us.

b. Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and app version.
  • Usage Data: Pages viewed, actions taken within the App, timestamps, and session duration.
  • Log Data: IP address, browser type, referring/exit pages, and crash reports.

c. Location Data

We collect precise or approximate location data to enable features like caregiver search by proximity. You may disable location permissions in your device settings, but some features may not function properly without it.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Facilitate caregiver-client matching and booking.
  • Process payments and manage payouts.
  • Run background checks on caregivers (via Checkr).
  • Enable in-app messaging.
  • Improve and personalize the App experience.
  • Send transactional notifications (booking confirmations, payment receipts, etc.).
  • Respond to support requests.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:

  • Other Users: Clients can view caregiver profiles. Caregivers can view limited client information relevant to bookings.
  • Service Providers: We use the following third-party services:
    • Stripe — Payment processing
    • Checkr — Background checks
    • Firebase (Google) — Authentication, database, cloud functions, hosting
    • Twilio — SMS notifications
    • Mailgun — Email delivery
    • Cloudflare — DNS, CDN, and security
    • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — Cloud storage and infrastructure
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting us at info@indycareapp.com.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption, access controls, and secure storage. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Request deletion of your data.

8. HIPAA Disclaimer

IndyCare is a non-medical home care matching platform. We are not a healthcare provider or a HIPAA-covered entity. The information collected and processed through our platform is not considered Protected Health Information (PHI) under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App and on our website at https://indycareapp.com/privacy. Your continued use of the App after any changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
